Looking for a unicorn drummer

Description

We are 3 men in their 50s who are playing mostly for fun but are serious about the music. We approach things with a very free spirit, meaning "anything goes" and "complex song structures". Our sound is influenced by new wave, post-punk, and other genres that could be loosely defined alternative. We strive hard not to neatly fall in any specific musical box, even though we may love said box. We aren't Berklee grads or ultra-tech shredders by a stretch, but enjoy uncommon harmonies, back them up with reasonably good chops, and do our homework before practice (although we do create and review a lot during practices). We are looking for someone that's proving hard to find: that peculiar drummer that has the chops and experience to bring an array of diverse drumming styles to the table; and, while understanding that this project isn't aiming to become pro or semi-pro, is ready to take it seriously while having fun. We would prefer you to approach your drumming with subtlety and variety rather than with a full-steam ahead rocking beat (respectable, but would mostly be out of context here). Ideally, you don't just learn your drum part as a sequence of drum hits but are able to listen to the other parts and react to them - we try to work for the song. If you compose your own material, we'd be happy to listen to it and incorporate what works; and your suggestions/ideas for existing material are welcome. Knowing how to operate a DAW a plus, vocals a plus. Thank you for reading!
