MEAT PACKER: The meat packer will box and seal meat ready for the customer’s use.
- Disassemble and assemble plant equipment
- Responsible for wrapping, grinding and packing meat
- Inspect meat or meat products to best of ability
- Loading materials and products into package-processing equipment
- Measuring, weighing and counting product materials
- Moving or lifting heavy objects (up to 80lbs)
- Loading, unloading or stacking products or materials
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Responsible for sorting manufacturing materials or products
- Operating packaging machine equipment
- Recording product, packaging and order information on forms and records
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Long periods of standing
- Must be able to lift a minimum 65lbs – 80 lbs max on their own
- Must be able to work near animal carcasses, blood and other liquids
- Able to tolerate temperatures in work areas that fluctuate between extreme cold and extreme
warmth
- Squatting and bending repeatedly
- Repetitive motion
- Loud Sounds
