Description
Jack is desperately looking for a foster home (even a paid foster home!) This big boy (about 95 pounds) is about 12.5 years old, but still has energy when he gets excited! He does like to chill at home most of the time though. He can be a bit touchy at first, while getting to know someone...not aggressive, but can snap if he's not comfortable with whatever is going on. For this reason, no kids for him. After he gets comfortable (let him go at his own pace), he can be quite the cuddle bug. No other animals for him. We can give you all the tips we have learned with him so far.
He is currently in kennel-boarding, but he gets really stressed out there.
We are a foster-based rescue in L.A. (Pacific Pups Rescue) and we often don't have enough foster homes for all of our dogs. When this happens, we prefer to board them at someone's home rather than a kennel facility.
In general, we are looking for someone experienced with dogs to board some of our dogs in his/her home. We take in all kinds of dogs, from puppies to seniors, and from Chihuahuas to St. Bernards. You don't have to be willing to take in all of them...You can tell us what your requirements are.
But right now, we are specifically looking to place Jack.
Since we are a non-profit organization, we are looking for Rescue-friendly prices. We are willing to pay a little more for larger breeds. Our NEED is greatest for bigger dogs!
We work mainly in the Western part of L.A., anywhere from about Redondo Beach to the San Fernando Valley, and West of Downtown.
Please let us know if interested and we can see if this is something that will work out for both of us.
