Allied/All-City is currently seeking experienced equipment operators that have a background in Utility work capable of being an accountable & responsible crew chief delegating to others to assuring that the projects you are given are organized in the way of equipment, materials, job time and total production of each project. You Must also possess a clean NYS CDL - A / license because as part of the responsibilities of this position you would need to move mini excavators or backhoe from job to job. In exchange we are willing to pay top dollar for top people. We have been in business for 37 years and we are Very diverse in the technologies we employ. Besides the conventional open cut digging to install utilities, water, sewer, gas, electric & communications we also provide trenchless, No-Dig installation of utilities using technologies like pipe bursting, pipe lining, directional drilling, vacuum excavating to name a few. You are not required to have experience in these technologies but we are looking for people that have the desire to expand there horizons. These positions are not for everyone, You Must be a leader not a follower, you must have a high aptitude for learning the technologies of the future in the underground utility industry. You must poses the ability to lead and train your crew to be efficient and organized in all aspects of the job on hand. And most of all you must be responsible and accountable for the production and quality of the projects you control. We are presently under a reorganization project from the current way we do business which had many road blocks because we were not separating our crews into teams and making the equipment operator the crew chief of each team. We feel this will take the stress out of the field because the crew chief can see the problems and solutions better then anyone in the company. Because of this we are building from the crew chief down. Because we have we have multiple locations covering Nassau and Suffolk our new program will have underground crews Leaving in the morning from either Sayville, Copiague & Bellmore depending on where you live to avoid the current confusion and traffic leaving from just Copiague as we currently have been doing.
