Young men aged 12-21, drop in and join the crew of the SSS Intrepid for their weekly "work party" held outdoors and aboard ship with masks most Sundays from 10-4. Throughout the year, outside of maintaining the ship's engines and structure, the Intrepid crew works on mental and physical maritime skills, leadership training, safety and first aid training at their Wednesday pm meetings (live and zoom alternating) and offsite events. This is a work hard, play hard, welcoming environment. The confidence and pride in learning to run your own 95 foot retired Coast Guard Cutter, ski boat, kayak and dinghy is life changing. The day cruises and overnight cruises are filled with memories and build friendships that literally last a lifetime. Please RSVP to this ad if you plan to come by and check it out.
