US Special Delivery, a leading transportation company based in the Mid-West, dedicated to delivering the highest level of service in the industry is now accepting applications for Full Time 3rd Shift Inbound Operations Supervisor. This position is located at our terminal in Hammond, WI. Position Overview: Coordinate and perform duties of operations personnel to ensure movement of shipments on time and damage free while demonstrating safe work procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Lead and perform duties of assigned team · Coordinate the loading/unloading of trucks in a safe efficient manner. · Dispatch Line haul and P&D Drivers · Work with all Managers and Supervisors on coordination of freight · Ensure efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment. · Ensure established policies, procedures and job methods are followed. · Conduct pre-shift meetings · Provide information to management regarding employee development and /or conduct issues. · Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: · High School diploma or equivalent · Experience leading, coaching or mentoring others preferred · Excellent Attendance Record · Good decision making and problem-solving skills. · Team Player · Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels. · Ability to Lead with minimal supervision · Experience with AS 400 and Microsoft Excel · Ability to read material such as signs, labels, and shipping documents · Ability to lift/carry freight of varying weights several times a week, lift dock plates and open trailer doors several times per day pending operational needs. Working Conditions Job duties performed in both and office and dock environment, exposure to varied weather conditions, dust and noise. Fast –paced, deadline orientated and may require extended hours in order to meet operational needs.
