Description

He would meet me at the door, without exception, every time I came home. 95 pounds of working-line German Rottweiler. The equivalent of 1000 Chihuahuas poured into a blockheaded beast of heavy bones and muscles. Black little nub tail wagging a million miles an hour. Sometimes so enthusiastically his entire body would wiggle like a sine wave. When he was happy, he would growl and bare his teeth. That was one of my favorite features. And that’s the way he transitioned into spirit. Growling softly, with his head cradled in my hands. Being told how much he was loved and how much those 10.5 years meant to me. Friends, I offer you the Heart Vessel and accompanying ceremonial spoon. It is often referred to as Cremation Jewelry or Memorial Jewelry. These started over a year ago after the near-simultaneous deaths of my two dogs. It is a small vessel, about ¾ of an inch in length. Wrapped in copper with turquoise, onyx and labradorite. Turquoise, onyx and labradorite have been used since ancient times in rites of passage transitioning loved ones to spirit. Copper holds a reputation as a conductor of spiritual energy. Using the ceremonial spoon, cremains are placed inside the vessel. The copper wire wrap is then twisted closed. This creates the bail and secures the cork. It is worn around the neck, near the heart space. To hold that which is precious. Hopefully, it will bring peace and comfort to those who need it. Which (finally) brings me to my point. Today I am asking for your support. In exchange, I offer you my artwork. The reason I am asking might make you smile. A fuzzy little bear cub of a Rottweiler puppy arriving home this week. Would you consider the purchase of a Heart Vessel to assist in the costs of this puppy? I am a glassblower based in Eugene, Oregon. My offering is $45 for either a Heart Vessel or a ceremonial spoon. Shipped to your door. If you’ve read this far, THANK YOU for your kind attention. To get a Heart Vessel or ceremonial spoon, please send me an email. I will respond with a link to my website. Thanks again and have a wonderful day. Into this happy night In secret, seen of none Nor saw I aught Without other light or guide Save that which in my heart did burn -St. John of the Cross
