For axolotls to be able to swallow their food whole, food needs to be small enough not to cause trouble on its way down their gastrointestinal tract. Food that is too large can get impacted, that is, cause bowel obstruction, which can be fatal for axolotls if they don’t manage to expel the cause of impaction. Organic live grindal worms are perfect and stimulate feeding for picky eaters. I have starter cultures and precleaned worms ready to feed. Shipping or local pick up is available.
