Hello fellow Austin-area geezer musicians. I'm an old guy nonsinging bass player looking for a friendly band to play classic rock, R&B, soul, and/or other covers, gig occasionally but mainly play well and have fun. Lots of bass-playing experience; since early 2000s have played 4-5 mostly benefit gigs per year in an active and very loud old-guy band called Not Collidge Mateerial in Philly PA area. [PARTIAL song list: ALREADY GONE, BACK IN THE USSR, BAD CASE LOVING YOU, BIRTHDAY, BORN TO BE WILD, BROWN SUGAR, COME TOGETHER, LOVE HER MADLY, I GOT A LINE, STATESBORO BLUES, SUFFRAGETTE CITY, ALL MY LOVING, BECAUSE THE NIGHT, JUMPIN JACK FLASH, TAKE IT EASY, FIRST I LOOK AT PURSE, REDNECK FRIEND, KNOCK ON WOOD, NOWHERE MAN, BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN, ALREADY GONE, ETC ETC...] Have excellent gigging equipment (700w, 4x10s SWR amp), Hofner, Fender & Gibson basses, drive van. Not in it for the money (or I'd starve); just love to play good music with good musicians! I'm glad to try out, but still not comfortable indoors...have a nice outside deck in Round Rock suitable for band rehearsals. Glad to talk, email or call me on . Thank you. Steve
