Description
We are looking to add a self-motivated, detailed-oriented member to our manufacturing company. We are a small machine shop. The job description is as follows:
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
o Overall knowledge of company and customer goals
o Preserve product conformity and integrity through proper shipping, handling and storage
o Responsible for verifying shipment documents
o Determining shipping priorities – coordinate with shipping manager
o Build shipping boxes as needed
o Pack goods to customer specification and paying attention to special packaging instructions (as applicable)
o Preservation of product is maintained during packaging
o Ensure all orders have been filled out correctly
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Some walking up and down stairs. Building cardboard shipping boxes and packaging product to prepare for shipment. Occasional lifting; no more than 40-lbs.
