Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems
• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.
• Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
• Keeps current all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Provides technical support to customers.
• Maintain and submit PM Sheets
Occasional overtime and weekends will be required. Night and weekend emergency on-call availability is required
Qualifications:
• 5+ years' service and controls experience is preferred
• Professional appearance
• Skilled at troubleshooting system problems
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills with ability to interact with customers
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects of 50+ lbs.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and drug test
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Basic computer or cell phone skills – Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF’s
