Description

The Wake County Animal Shelter is FULL. We are quickly running out of kennels. There are over 50 dogs on the adoption floor that are just waiting on a family. We have many breeds, sizes, and personalities to choose from. We also have some wonderful cats waiting for homes. We are currently in "Clear the Shelters" across the country, but we have more animals coming in than going out. I would encourage you to visit our shelter and see how many great dogs, cats, and small critters we have. Our shelter does a wonderful job of trying to keep the dogs socialized, but we need to get them adopted quicker and into their own homes. Many dogs are house-trained and sit overnight holding it until volunteers come in to let them out. We also hold supervised doggy playgroups and can tell you which dogs have been good with others (males & females and in blended groups). Some dogs that have done well are: Roger, Pock, Stitch to name a few. Please come in and visit asap! They are waiting for you!! 820 Beacon Lake Drive Raleigh 919 212 PETS OPEN 12-6pm (7 days/week) NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED https://pets.wakegov.com/gallery SPECIAL DOGS THAT NEED OUT: Roger - 1yr old Hound mix, very special boy, everyone's favorite, loves other dogs & people Stitch - young male Pit mix, has done well in group play, very calm & quiet, excellent on leash Pock - adorable small male Pit mix, has done great in doggy playgroups, house-trained, waiting for you!
