GENERAL SUMMARY: Skilled carpenter focused on mastery who knows most everything about remodeling and is always learning how to perfect their craft. Demonstrates and continues to develop leadership skills that include leading and directing a project, leading and teaching younger employees, and representing the company professionally in the eyes of the customer, the vendors, and the community. Proficient at all Journeyman Carpenter skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: o SKILL LEVEL o Have a command of tool and material terminology o Read architectural plans and know building symbols o Possess the ability to direct other employees effectively o Learn how to lead a project productively and efficiently o Complete small jobs and punch lists effectively and without supervision o Devise material lists effectively o Design and build all types of roofs (shed, hip, gable, gambrel, and Manfred) o Layout walls, floors, etc. o Possess knowledge in using steel studs and other components o Design and build both interior and exterior stairs including closed stringers, cut stringers, with risers and without risers o Install crown molding and all other complicated trim schemes o Install replacement windows and design, create, and install coil stock to such windows o Build and install an interior and exterior doorjamb; install a slab door, (mortise hinges, lock, etc.) o Layout forms for concrete and possess the expertise to finish concrete o Able to finish drywall
