Join Columbus Gives Back at the annual "El Dia de los Muertos" community event with Latino Arts for Humanity! Columbus Gives Back is proud to support Latino Arts for Humanity and be a part of the "El Dia de los Muertos" Day of the Dead Community Event, a traditional Mexican festival dedicated to honoring the loved ones we have lost. We need volunteers to help with activities and tear down for this festivous occasion! When: Saturday, October 19, 2019, 11:00AM - 3:00PM Where: Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave. Columbus, OH 43223 COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. About Latino Arts for Humanity: Latino Arts for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that exists to encourage, develop, and preserve the arts and cultural heritage of the Latino community! One of the goals of the Latino Arts for Humanity is: To serve as a bridge to the wider public by promoting the Latino arts and culture. About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back coordinates group volunteer events with local non-profits, organizes philanthropic happy hours to raise support and awareness for our non-profit partners, and participates in other philanthropic events while emphasizing our social twist: to have fun with volunteers new and old during and after events in the hopes of creating a culture of community engagement amongst our target audience of young professionals. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local! As of May 1st, outdoor/patio social twists will be coordinated at the discretion of event leaders and volunteers.
