Description

End the Summer season with a special site-specific performance by the Kun-Yang Lin dancers! For our final Sunset Summer Series event, join us from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM join Nalaverse for a soothing group meditation. From 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Kun Yang Lin Dancers present a new site specific work, "行 / Xing", which continues the company's ongoing investigation of CHI-- connecting to oneself, one’s community and the larger world through dance. Inspired by the spirit of the Rail Park, the dance artists will be located in 2 separate areas, performing simultaneously and allowing viewers to determine which performance to watch or switch between. Towards the end of the performance, artists and audiences will meet in the middle of the Rail Park for a closing movement meditation. This event also features live music and sound design crafted by multidisciplinary artists, Cory Neale and Daniel Belquer. Submit to the Rail Park Time Capsule: a digital story map and archive that will visualize the stories, objects, spaces and places that sustain culture and hold historic value for the people that live, work, and play in the 10+ neighborhoods that the Rail Park traverses through. For every submission (max 5), you'll be entered to win a prize pack of local gift cards and merch!
