We are fostering Rum Tum the hound thru the Stray Rescue until he finds his forever home. We're trying to get his cute face out there! He has had surgery about 2 months ago on his back for a slipped disc, and due to this, he hasn't regained full control of his bladder. He wears washable doggie wraps and just requires a change one in a while and a load of laundry every few days. But he doesn't et that stop him from being the best snuggler and sweetest pooch! Rum Tum is the sweetest boy. He's definitely child friendly, he loves my son and will curl up in his lap if he's sitting still enough! Rum Tum is dog friendly, too. I might even go as far to say he'd do a bit better with another dog, he seems to follow them and go potty faster following their lead. He loves snuggling our pit bull and boston terrier. He would love to play with them more outside, but with his back still healing I've had to limit what he would like to do. He is also a fan of hard chew toys to gnaw on during the day. He does great in his kennel when we have to all leave rarely, or at night. Sure, he gives us a super sad stare, but he obediently walks in. He's so quiet, he hasn't barked at the postman, my dogs, us, or very much of anything. We heard him once when he saw the neighbor down the road's dog, but I think it was because he wanted to play. The doggie wraps aren't his favorite thing, but he'll easily wear them in the house so he can enjoy the rugs and couch. I have found he needs patience when going potty to 'get everything out'. We don't have a fence, but he goes potty very well on a long stakes line and enjoys his daily brief walks. Personality wise, Rum Tum is the SWEETEST! He'll greet you with kisses and his low wagging tail, and if he feels like he needs extra pets, he'll put his soft paw on your arm or leg until you give him some love. He'll give you some quiet happy whines as you sit down and love on him after being out and about, and makes it known he enjoys people's company!
