Raising Awareness For Sickle Cell Anemia In Honor Of Our BrotherJoin us as we raise awareness and funding for Sickle Cell Anemia causes while simultaneously honoring the life of our beloved brother and former Chapter President, Reginald R. Walston, with the inaugural “R.R. Walston 5K” walk/run, to be held at Bachman Lake (3500 W. Northwest Hwy. Dallas, Texas 75220) on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10AM-2PM. Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, including photography at the finish line, as well as recognition following the event. BONE MARROW DONOR REGISTRY SIGN-UP: The Marc Thomas Sickle Cell Association will conduct FREE Bone Marrow Donor Registry sign-ups on-site. CAROL’S PROMISE: Carol’s Promise will share relevant information regarding Sickle Cell Anemia, including information on how to advocate within your own community. FOOD/MUSIC/PICNIC: A picnic with food and music will take place during and following the conclusion of the 5K walk/run. All ages are welcome.
