Lifeguard Certification Course This course is designed to give participants knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. Participants will also learn how to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. Lifeguarding/CPR/AED/First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years. Ages: 15+ Dates & Times: Friday, September 24rd - 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Saturday, September 25th - 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday, September 26th - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Cost: $200.00 Location: Bellaire Aquatic Center 7001 5th St Bellaire TX 77401 Prerequisite Test Participants must successfully complete the prerequisite Test to continue in the course. Swim 300 yards continuouslyTread water for 2 minutes only using the legsComplete a timed event within 1minute and 40 seconds:Start in the water, swim 20 yards. Surface dive to depth of 7-10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point.
