The B. P. B Memorial Scholarship Fund is to honor Brendan’s memory and to raise funds to offer scholarships to students in area schools.
Brendan Patrick Burke was tragically killed in an automobile accident on March 4, 2016. Brendan was only 21 years old and was a vivacious and caring young man.
Brendan left behind his parents Teresa (nee Fogarty) and Billy Burke; his sister Katie (Steve) Fugaj; nieces Hailey and Mackenzie Fugaj and nephew Stephen Fugaj. Brendan is an alumnus of Queen of Martyrs Grammar School (2008), Mt. Carmel High School (2012), and St. Xavier University (2016).
Although Brendan was taken far too soon, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of so many people that he touched. Whether you knew him for 21 years, or just met him for the first time, his smile and positive outlook on life was inspiring. He loved to learn and always gave his best effort in school and at work. Brendan lived each day to the fullest because he realized that “Life Is Good.”
The Brendan Patrick Burke Memorial Scholarship was formed with the goal to help other students in the area realize their dreams.
