Friezes is based here in Houston. We practice off Hillcroft and Bellaire. We're in our 40s and have decades of experience with a drive to make the best songs/records we can. We're a three piece: drums, guitar, bass. We're looking for a new guitarist for the band, which is probably best described as post-punk. We recently recorded our first album and it's being mixed/mastered right now in Austin. We have one song out now that was a part of a benefit compilation that included Mike Watt and some others. It’s a bit of an outlier in our material, but it gives you the gist: https://friezes.bandcamp.com We practice twice a week, every week. We'd prefer someone with creative input and ideas, who wanted to practice as much as we do, but you wouldn't need to keep that schedule if you wanted to just learn the parts. In that case, you'd practice with us more like a few times a month. We played our first show in February 2020 but then COVID shut everything down.
