An 8-week meditation and mindfulness program to teach you how to meditate Hosts: Dr. Rhianna Weaver, and Unified Mindfulness coach Ryan Weaver Description - an 8 week mindfulness and meditation course Join Dr. Weaver and her husband Ryan for an 8-week meditation and mindfulness program to teach you how to meditate. Each Wednesday evening, we will discover different meditation techniques, through practice, dive deep into stress reduction and relaxation, followed by a quick Q&A after our sit. Maybe you're brand new to meditation and you're not sure how to start, or what to do, and you would like clear "how to" instructions on starting a practice. Or you've tried to start but you are having trouble getting yourself to practice regularly, so you'd like support and accountability to keep you on track and inspired. No matter where you are at, we invite you to join us. Through a guided tour of each meditation technique, you'll discover the ones that are most meaningful to you, so you can apply them whenever you want, to live a happier, healthier, more fulfilled life. You will get to experience different meditation techniques to see what is right for you. It is guided, and Q&A will follow afterwards. You will leave having a general idea of how medication works, what it is doing to the body, and how it helps with health and wellness. It is not required to come every week but it is strongly encouraged. The vision for this series is for you to learn stress resilience through meditation, and to gain an understanding that meditation is a wonderful way to care for ourselves on a deep level. Anyone can meditate, it is for everyone! Key Takeaways from this 8 week program: - You will know how to relax and recharge with mindfulness - You will understand how to apply mindfulness in daily life - You will see a reduction in stress and feel increased joy - You will understand comprehensive to contemplative approaches of meditation to use in your daily life About Ryan Weaver, Mindfulness Coach Ryan has been studying meditation for the past six years. He has attended weeks of silent-retreats and over 1000 hours of formal sitting. He found Unified Mindfulness (UM) after studying Zen and Vipassana techniques. He decided to teach UM as it offers very precise definitions and instructions. UM can quickly lead to many practical daily life benefits. UM is also utilized in scientific studies at institutions like Harvard. This non-sectarian approach to training mindfulness makes UM more approachable to parents. And, to non-monastics who live in the 'real world'. He lives in Bozeman, Montana with his wife and daughter.
