It's the Lederhosenest time of year, Oktober(wein)fest at Chaz, a five course patio party celebrating German food and wine. Last year we had a great time sharing our take on German food and wines with our friends , and we're excited to do it again. Also there are so few occasions which call for leather shorts, it would be a shame to let one of the best pass us by. Oktoberfest is a celebration of German food and beer (and, yes, wine) celebrated around the world. And as most Oktoberfest events are focused on the beer, we like to do it a little differently and highlight the regional wines. Five courses of Germanic food and wine on one of the most beautiful patios on the Plaza, we hope to see you there. Kaese Spätzle Butterkäse and Swiss Cheese Spätzle Served with Heinz Eifel Spätlese Mosel Riesling Jagershnitzel Cripsy Pan Fried Berkshire-Duroc Pork Loin with Mushroom Gravy Served with Kettmeir Sudtirol Alto Adige Blauburgunder Sauerkraut Soup Smoked Sausage and Tomato Jus Served with Franz Keller Franz Keller Franz Anton Schwarzer Adler Pinot Noir German Short Rib with Reb Cabbage Served with Heinrich Burgenland Blaufränkisch German Bee Sting Cake Honeycake, Honey Frosting, Chocolate Served with Heinz Eifel Silvaner Beerenauslese *We are planning on hosting this event outdoors on the patio of The Raphael Hotel with appropriate distancing between tables. In the event of uncooperative weather, we will move the event indoors where we will be able to maintain appropriately distanced seating. As we understand some might not be comfortable with this, we will happily honor all refund requests prior to the event.
