Billy Pierre, poet & Haitian author will present his first book "À l'autre bout d'un rêve". The book will be available for purchase at $17. 40% of books sales will go to the fundraiser Okay & Akyson to support humanitarian efforts in Billy's hometown the Cayes after the last hurricane. Billy Pierre est l'auteur de "À l'autre bout d’un rêve", roman publié aux Editions de Saint Honoré (Paris). En 2011, Billy a remporté un concours international de poésie organisé par l'association française Poésie en Liberté. Ce fut un tournant pour lui et l'encouragea à continuer son écriture. En 2017, Poésie en Liberté, dont le siège est à Paris, a nommé Billy comme son correspondant pour Haïti et certaines villes des États-Unis. Billy a été sélectionné pour être membre du comité de lecture des 22e et 23e éditions du concours de Poésie en Liberté. Il est titulaire d'une maîtrise en global management et d'un diplôme en sciences politiques. Our mission is to encourage the study of French language, and to promote and enhance the knowledge and appreciation of French and Francophone cultures through educational programs and cultural events. Our goal is to promote understanding and friendship among people who share these interests.
