Northeast Animal Shelter Calls Out Cutest North Shore Pets

SALEM, MA — Everyone on the North Shore who owns a dog or cat thinks that their pet is the cutest thing and greatest little buddy in the region. Now North Shore residents can try to get their best furry boy or girl receive the glamour recognition it deserves through the Northeast Animal Shelter's 2022 Pawparazzi Calendar Photo Contest. Funds raised through the $25 entry fee, a $1 voting fee and calendar sales will go toward helping the Salem animal shelter fulfill its mission of finding forever homes for rescue pets of all shapes and sizes from all across the country. Northeast Animal Shelter, along with MSCPCA-Angell Memorial, recently brought 150 dogs and cats from the Louisiana area for adoption ahead of and immediately after Hurricane Ida struck the Gulf Coast. The grand prize will be awarded to the pet with the most votes, and the winning photo will appear on the calendar's cover. The winner will also receive a professional photo session with a pet photographer in the North Shore area, as well as a canvas print of one of the photos taken at the shoot. "Not to mention the bragging rights of having the cutest pet!" the Shelter said. The 12 first-prize winners — six cats and six dogs — will each have a month on the 2022 NEAS Pawparrai calendar. Voting ends Sept. 22 at 11:59 p.m. Calendars can be ordered in advance and will help the Shelter gauge how many need to be produced. Full entry information can be found here.
