Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and P.O.S.H for a community cleanup at Silver Lake Playlot in St. Petersburg! It’s that time of year again! Keep Pinellas Beautiful will be partnering with the Ocean Conservancy to host the 2021 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) with events taking place between September 1st and October 31st. This annual event brings together volunteers in coastal regions to collect, count, and document the trash they find, acting as citizen scientists all over the world. This important season of giving is invaluable in keeping litter out of our waterways and away from our beautiful Pinellas County beaches. In an effort to mitigate these issues, we encourage family, friends, and community members to come support our efforts. With your assistance, we'll make Pinellas County a more beautiful place to live, work and play! Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful and P.O.S.H for a cleanup on Saturday, September 25th. Registration begins at 8:00 AM. We're excited to see you there! *** WHEN: Saturday, September 25th from 8 AM to 11 AM WHERE TO MEET: Meet at Silver Lake Playlot in St. Petersburg (13th - 14th St S & 11th Ave. S) WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear closed toed shoes and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. We recommend a hat or sunglasses too. For the safety of our volunteers and staff, masks are encouraged. WHAT TO EXPECT: All cleanup supplies are provided including pickers, reusable gloves, trash bags, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
