Fairweather & Associates is an established Sonoma County builder looking for a Sheet Metal Journeyman & Sheet Metal Apprentice
Journeyman applicant must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, as well as but not limited to the following:
• Working knowledge and experience using sheet metal fabricating/installation equipment and tools.
• Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference line on material, such as roofing panels, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, or rulers.
• Determine project requirements, such as scope, assembly sequences, or required methods or material, using blueprints, drawings, or written or verbal instructions
• Experience working on job sites
Apprentice applicant must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience, as well as but not limited to the following:
• Understands the properties of various metals and their typical uses in construction
• Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools.
• Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
• Maintain equipment, making repairs or modifications when necessary.
• Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds at a time
