Position Summary The Lead Technician works as part of a first responder crew to provide basic cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial properties after fire, smoke, water damage, and other contaminations. In addition to basic restoration functions in the field, the Lead Technician serves as a project team lead. The Lead Technician ensures that all tasks in the field are performed efficiently and safely and provides hands-on and field practical application training as needed. This position must be available to work one week per month On-Call requiring after hours work including nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Perform all clean-up and restoration services at a skilled and supervisory level including but not limited to: Perform restoration tasks on-site and in the field including but not limited to content manipulation, water extraction, demolition of building and hazardous materials (after completion of required training), debris removal, restoration equipment placement, skill to use tools to locate water damage, structural cleaning, operation of mobile devices and apps to report and record daily activity. Maintain timely and effective communication to Team Leaders and managers with detailed information about daily assignments and other tasks appropriate to this position. Understand and ensure team members apply the ANSI/llCRC S500, S520 and industry standards and best practices to properly mitigate environmental damage from residential and commercial properties safely and effectively Supervise crews of 2-15 technicians on environmental remediation and restoration projects Ensure that all team members follow EPA and other federal, state, and local regulations for wastewater and chemical disposal Perform demolition including removing hazardous materials and properly dispose of debris Setup, monitor and perform dry-out services including using tools and skills to locate water damage and perform water extraction - knowledge and ability to use drying systems in order to decrease drying time based on environmental readings Maintain progress logs and other documentation by using mobile device and applications to report and record daily activity Travel to various job sites to transport materials and equipment using company vehicles Handle hazardous waste and follow regulations and Ideal's policies and procedures Ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer concerns Follow all safety procedures and ensure others do the same Qualifications High School Diploma or GED A minimum of two year's restoration project experience that includes working with lead, asbestos, or mold removal Valid California Driver's license with a minimum of three year's driving experience - must have a satisfactory driving record with no DUIs and be insurable under normal insurance rates Must provide a current DMV original printout dated within the last 30 days Must provide a copy of current Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) for personal vehicle Benefits Medical, dental, vision, 401K, FSA, tuition reimbursement, and commuter benefits PTO 7 Paid Holidays Referral bonus Opportunity for career growth& learning environment Innovative & diverse work environment Competitive Pay & Bonuses Company committed to professional development Family Oriented & open communication environment We Care: Committed to the community We foster the following five values: Execute like SWAT, Lead like a Wolf, Think like the Minions, and Be a Buffalo We have many success stories of employees that began as technicians and are now in management!
