Description

WAUKESHA, WI — The Village of Waukesha Plan Commission and Village Board will consider a land use map amendment request for a proposed charter school on a 25-acre lot on the northeast corner of Highway 164 and Lawnsdale Road. Robert Dunston, dba National Heritage Academies, requested that the land use map be changed to allow for government or institutional use, according to online village documents. The land is currently zoned for commercial use. The applicant wants to build a 45,000-square-foot building for a kindergarten through eighth grade public charter school. The school will have a capacity of 772 students and is planned to be open in the fall of 2022, the documents said. The Plan Commission and Village Board meet jointly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
