You must be at least 21 years of age and possess at least a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED). You must also have current evidence of successfully completing a biennial 2 year (CPR) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Triennial (2 year) First Aid training by a certified or licensed health care professional. If these documents are not available you must complete these training programs within the first 30 days of hire. Under the direct supervision of the Director and Residential Program Specialist, provide direction and supervision, in all activities to the children of My Granny’s House. 1. Be responsible and supervise the children where they reside. 2. Assist residents with homework, book reports, Bible study, and school projects 3. Attend open house, school meetings, and enroll children in school as part of the treatment team. 4. Assist the residents in learning and performing housekeeping skills. 5. Assist residents in learning house rules and daily/weekly/and holiday schedules 6. Assist residents with personal hygiene, social and self-help skills. 7. Assist residents with washing, folding, and putting away clothing. 8. Assist residents with selecting clothing that is appropriate for the weather, appropriate in size, and insuring that the clothing meets the dress guidelines for this agency. 9. Check children daily for good general hygiene & neat, well-fitting clean clothing. 10. Assist resident in meal preparation and table manners. 11. Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for or with the residents 12. Document any needed concerns and note any new areas for concern that need to be addressed by the treatment team, to the Director of Administrative Staff. 13. Treat all residents with dignity and respect 14. Transport and supervise residents to social events, outings, medical appointments, and church functions. 15. Promote residents safety at home, outside of the home, and on outings. 16. Read, understand, and enforce the policies procedures of this agency. 17. Attend weekly staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and orientation. 18. Interact with the residents and give positive feedback while assisting with daily group sessions. 19. Ensure that all client information is prohibited without consent of the Director. (See confidentiality policy) 20. Attend and submit 35 hours (full time) & 18 hours (part time) of continuing education training each year. 21. Facilitate weekly group sessions with residents. 22. Report any incidents and/ or areas of concern involving the residents, staff, maintenance, or overall program at My Granny’s House to the Director or Administrative Staff. 23. Complete all information on staff application, sign off on all necessary forms and supply all necessary documents prior to employment start date. 24. Advocate for the rights of children in our care. 25. Check house and grounds for safety hazards. Report safety hazards to the Residential Program Specialist or Director.
