Lynnfield Firefighters Head to Louisiana For Hurricane Relief

LYNNFIELD, MA — Since first responders in Louisiana have been working non-stop since the storm hit, ten local firefighters from Lynnfield, Carlisle, and Dalton are heading down Tuesday to offer some relief. While in Louisiana, these firefighters will support local first responders in handling emergency calls. "This crew will be able to provide services in support of those local first responders, so they can get some rest," says Louisiana State Fire Marshall Peter Ostroskey. The firefighters will bring their own protective equipment and their own fire suppression gear and vehicles. It was not stated how long the team will be helping down there. Today, 3 teams of firefighters from the Carlisle, Dalton, & Lynnfield fire departments are headed to Louisiana after Hurricane #Ida.
