We're a startup and seeking a friendly person to help man a booth at a trade show at McCormick Place. Qualifications: Do you like to talk with people? Are you sharp, professional and responsible? Do you like technology and are able to explain general concepts if you're taught them? If so, we'd love for you to join our small group of three at our booth where we kick off an amazing event at the biggest manufacturing show in the United States right at the McCormick Place. Duties: - Talk with attendees approaching our booth and give answers to simple questions. When questions are complex, just refer them to our senior team members. You will be trained in a small training session to get you up to speed. - Other Duties: Scanning badges, general customer service and helping to serve beer during our Happy Hour About Our Startup and What We Do: Our company is creating innovative software allowing any business that sells complex product offerings to be able to quote their solutions accurately and in seconds with a conversational user interface. In particular, our software helps businesses do quoting from the the manufacturing industry. Location: McCormick Place. The actual show is called Fabtech and as mentioned, is the biggest manufacturing trade show in the U.S. Fun Time with Great Experience: This will be a great opportunity for you to work with a rising startup and see what the hustle is like. You can get great experience with some sales while having fun working with good people and meeting lots of attendees / guests of the show. When: 11/13 - 11/15 Each day: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Compensation: Up to $21 an hour, 15 hours Pay is $18 an hour for base pay. You will be given a lunch allowance each day you work. Must be available all days. *$18 base with a up to $3 hourly bonus paid if you meet simple criteria including being ontime, attending all scheduled shifts, being dressed properly, and being attentive and engaging with guests. This should be easy to do if you are professional. Required Attire: - For male attire: Black slacks or blue jeans with sports blazer. We'll provide company black tee-shirt to wear under the blazer. - For women attire: Any knee length skirt to wear with black company tee-shirt.
