This virtual community conversation will take place virtually on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in partnership with various faith-based, academic, and community organizations, the Office of the Governor, and the Departments of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), and Children and Families (DCF).
The purpose of this event is to engage in dialogue on equity, develop recommendations for local and larger systems improvements, and to build and bridge community alliances. The agenda for the evening includes brief remarks by the Commissioners from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Department of Children and Families. The event will include conversation starters facilitating a dialogue with Black and Brown Women and Girls regarding the Public Health Crisis, COVID-19, and Racism.
They are looking for participation from youth. While the conversation is centered around Black and Brown Women and Girls, this discussion is open to all. We ask any adult supporter attending to ensure they bring two young people, and also help them register!
A Zoom link will be sent to the registered email on file prior to the event. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, September 21 at noon.
