St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen is calling for donations from the community to support their meal program. In their most recent Facebook post calling for support, they wrote,
"We love food donations! (Cash donations too and we can buy food cheaper than retail!) IN DESPERATE NEED OF SLICED BREAD ASAP- WHOLE WHEAT PREFERRED!
We are really in need of jams and jellies for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ( doesn't have to be grape !) , anything that could go on a salad bar. We strive for optimal nutrition and variety! The possibilities are endless, here are a few. Lettuce, cucumbers, artichoke hearts, canned beans, three bean salad, salad dressings. We could always used sliced lunch meats and cheeses! Shredded cheeses are great for our cooking!
Canned fruit in 100% fruit juice is always nice to have in the morning along with fresh fruits! If you are able to help we are located at 617 Main St., Middletown. Drop off hours are Monday through Saturday 7 AM to 2 PM! Would love to accept your donation! Thank you in advance!
We have pivoted to a partial take out system and complete indoor masking. Our takeout containers are costing us almost $50 a day!! We go to great lengths to keep our guests safe, but this definitely adds up! Any help is appreciated. Let's continue to keep our community safe!"
