EAST HAVEN, CT — Aidelisse Gonzalez is trying not to give up hope. Her 15-year-old Pomeranian named Mimosa has been missing since last Saturday from the area of Tuttle Place in East Haven. "Mimo," as she's called by her human mom, said while she wants her pup home safe and sound, is also hoping that if she'd been found by someone, that person or person is caring for her dog. "I'm desperate to make sure if someone has her, to make sure she is taken care of," Gonzalez said. Mimosa is on medication which she's not had in four days. She's also partially blind and deaf. "She's 15. Little and adorable, but these dogs need care and attention and are fragile. I plea to the person who might have her — which is what we are all assuming — that they do the right thing. If she is getting sick, drop her off at a shelter, local police department, fire department or nearest vet. Heck drop her off at any house on Tuttle Place," Gonzalez said. "She doesn't have a lot of time." Mimosa has three dog tags: an East Haven tag; a rabies tag from her Guilford veterinarian; and a tag on her green harness with her name, home address and phone number. Gonzalez said she may have hidden under decks, sheds, or in bushes or any other "small nook and cranny." Hundreds of people have shared Gonzalez' please from Facebook. Including East Haven Mayor Joseph A. Carfora on his social media accounts. And the group CT Dog Gone Recovery Volunteer Network has also shared a lost dog flyer on social media. Anyone with information is asked to call Gonzalez at 203-285-5819. "No questions asked," Gonzalez said. She just wants her home.
