POINT PLEASANT, NJ — The 2021 NFL season starts this week, with the Philadelphia Eagles set to kick off against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday. It will be aired locally on FOX. The Eagles' season opener will kick off a 2021 campaign in which the team hopes to improve on its 4-11-1 record from 2020. The Eagles-Falcons clash is one of 16 games scheduled for Week 1 of the 2021 National Football League season; it's 102nd. The season begins Thursday when the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL kickoff game on NBC. Two other prime-time games will be highlighted during the opening weekend. On Sunday night, the Los Angeles Rams host the Chicago Bears in a game on NBC. The Las Vegas Raiders host the Baltimore Ravens Monday night in a game to be televised on ESPN. Thirteen NFL games are on tap Sunday, with nine beginning at 1 p.m. Eastern Time and four scheduled for the late window, which starts at 4 p.m. Eastern Time. In the CBS "Game of the Week," the 2020 Super Bowl champions and 2021 runner-up Kansas City Chiefs host the Cleveland Browns. The game airs at 4 p.m. Sunday.
