Here are the top stories today in Boulder: Great news for CU Boulder Theater Department: Philanthropist Roe Green will provide a $5 million gift for the CU Boulder theater program. It's the largest ever to the CU Theater Department, and will fund upgrades for the University Theatre, as well as fund a variety of scholarships, theater maintenance and "launch" events. (CU Today) The Colorado Supreme Court denied the petition filed by the Daily Camera newspaper, which sought to force the University of Colorado's Board of Regents to disclose the list of candidates they had assembled to replace retiring CU President Bruce Benson. Interesting twist, is that Prairie Media continued to seek court approval, even after the list was leaked. (Colorado Daily)Solid Power is expanding its production facility in Louisville in an effort to increase its capacity by 25 times. The enlarged warehouse will also house a pilot production line for its commercial-grade battery cells that will be used by Ford and BWM. (Tech Crunch)When people think of Colorado and the Rocky Mountains, they think about a place with crisp mountain air and sparkling clear water – as it turns out, Colorado ranks near the bottom of the heap for air and water quality. Looks like we've got some work to do to repair the damage already done. (US News) The Hyperloop 'fantasy' is coming to Colorado: Supposedly, a full-scale prototype is slated to be built and tested in Pueblo. According to its backers, Pueblo is "the perfect combination of expansive facilities and a remote location." Still haven't heard much about what CDOT plans to do with their version that they were talking about in 2017.
