JOPPA, MD — A Parkville woman has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with a stabbing in Joppa.
Kathleen Moreau, 38, is accused of assaulting her boyfriend, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities said Moreau was involved in a domestic-related altercation with a 37-year-old Joppa man on Sunday, Sept. 5.
At 10:53 p.m., deputies from the Southern Precinct were called to the 300 block of Oakway Court in Joppa for a reported stabbing.
They said they found the victim stabbed in the upper body, and although he at first tried to refuse medical attention, he was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment. He later discharged himself from the hospital, authorities said.
Investigators determined the Joppa man "became involved in a domestic related altercation with his girlfriend, Kathleen Moreau," according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. "At some point during the altercation, Moreau stabbed Tingler in the mid-section, then fled the scene. A warrant was issued for her arrest."
Courtesy of the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Moreau was arrested Tuesday through the Harford County Sheriff's Office Warrant Fugitive Unit. She was slated to appear in Harford County District Court at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for a bail review hearing.
