OXFORD, PA — A disturbance reported in Oxford Borough on Monday included allegations of a semi-automatic handgun and a death threat, and police are looking for the suspect who fled before officers could get there. On Monday around 10:30 p.m. Oxford Police officers were called to the 100 block of Coach Street. A woman in the home where a disturbance was reported told police that Darell Thomas had run out of the home because her child had called 9-1-1 from a bedroom. Police reported the woman said Thomas had grabbed her by the neck, breaking her necklace, then pulled a black semi-automatic handgun which he pointed at her while threatening to kill her. According to a police report, Thomas then went into the victim's child's bedroom and took the child's cell phone. The child victim had already called 9-1-1 on the cell phone, according to the report. Thomas then ran down the steps of the home, taking the victim's house keys and car key, the police report said. The Oxford Police Department said it issued a warrant for Darrell Antwon Thomas, 37, of Cochranville, Chester County. Thomas is charged with robbery and four other charges, the police report said. Anyone with information is asked to call 9-1-1. Court records show Thomas had a Sept. 14 preliminary hearing scheduled for a misdemeanor harassment charge.
