Description

HEALDSBURG, CA — Members of the public have until Sept. 19 to review and submit feedback on the City of Healdsburg's Roadway Safety Plan. The city has been working to create the Local Roadway Safety Plan, and previously asked for public input. The draft of the plan incorporated that community input and is now ready for more feedback from the public. The city received a grant in 2020 from Caltrans to create the plan, with the goal being to reduce the overall severity of traffic crashes in the city by first determining the types and locations of the most frequent collisions, then identifying how to counteract such incidents and ultimately provide safer roadways, including near schools. The plan is posted here. Questions regarding the draft plan can be directed to Curt Bates with the Public Works Department at 707- 431-3346. A Spanish version of the plan can be reviewed with a bilingual city staff member by contacting the City Clerk's Office at 707-431-3316.
