LAKEWOOD, OH — There are four locations offering COVID-19 tests in Lakewood, according to the Ohio Department of Health. With supplies limited and demand high, Lakewood residents will want to call ahead before visiting any of the below-listed locations seeking a test. Here's where you can get a COVID-19 test locally: Lakewood Urgent Care, 11716 Detroit Ave. CVS Pharmacy, 15501 Detroit Ave. Signature Health, Inc., 14701 Detroit Ave. Neighborhood Family Practice, 16110 Detroit Ave. Rocky River Public Library is also distributing free, rapid, at-home tests. Earlier this year, the state health department partnered with libraries across Ohio to distribute free COVID-19 testing kits. In August alone, libraries issued more than 53,000 tests to Ohioans. "As the delta variant spreads across the state and our students and teachers head back to school, there has been renewed interest in testing for COVID-19," said Gov. Mike DeWine. "These tests – and Ohio's amazing network of public libraries – make it easier than ever for Ohioans to get tested and to ensure that we are limiting the spread of the delta variant." If you can't find a test in Lakewood, the Ohio Department of Health maintains a database of all testing and distribution centers in Ohio. "Until more people are vaccinated, testing will be an important tool, and we are committed to making it easy to access," said Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, director of the Ohio Department of Health. "Our partnerships with libraries to make the at-home rapid tests accessible and convenient are a real breakthrough in our ability to get as many Ohioans tested as possible."
