Description

Academic Support and Enrichment Group for Homeschoolers Academic Support Every child has a unique style of learning, and homeschooling provides the valuable opportunity to tailor their education accordingly. With this in mind, I will communicate with parents to understand the academic path they have chosen for their student. Time will be spent completing daily schoolwork and working to reach academic goals. Enrichment Activities Each day includes enrichment activities that encourage children to engage in the natural world. Students will explore a wide range of themes including science, engineering, and crafting with natural materials. As they work together, the children will enjoy each other's company and improve social skills in a supportive environment. Everyone will be encouraged to suggest activities and topics for the group. The support group is open to children ages 6 to 12. It will take place at my home in Ashland's "quiet village" on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10 to 1. Cost is $100 per week. Space is currently limited to six students. For more information contact Shauna Murphy Shauna has extensive experience with children as a homeschooling mother on a large solar powered ranch, and as an Educational Assistant in public elementary and middle school classrooms in the Rogue Valley.
