Description

Welcome all and please come join us for our FMAS September meeting! September 11th @ 7pm Our Speaker this month will be Zachary Tholke. Zachary is a student at FGCU working on a project of developing a product that can be used to reduce fish stress during times like transport and acclimation, and improve overall well being. He will be able to present on how he came up with this, the problems he is addressing, and how he will be testing this. Zachary will also return in the near future closer to product launch with more info along with test results. Something different I am interested to learn about! We will have some time for discussion, may provide some snacks/refreshments (please bring some to share)! We will then have an auction at the end of the meeting. Please bring any fish/aquatic items and lets keep it fun! Remember, we now have reserves on auction items so bring whatever you can! PLEASE NOTE: The Gold Coast Aquarium Society will be hosting a Swap Meet earlier in the day, from 11am-1pm at the rest stop just off Mile Marker 34 off I75. Some of our members will be traveling together to this event, and have the chance to bring back more interesting Fish and Aquatics to offer at our own auction. So definitely try to make it out tonight! PLEASE SHARE with others who may not see this in Facebook! Looking forward to seeing you all! ~ All are welcome / children welcome ~ Don't need to be a member to attend or bid on auction items! ~ Can sign up and become a member on the spot to be able to auction off your items same night! This will be held in the Calusa Nature Center Saturday at 7pm, in the Iona House, which is the building in the rear left. Come in the main entrance, make a left and follow the curve. You will pass through what looks like an open gate and then see all the cars. PLEASE NOTE: Masks are not required however please do/use/take all precautions necessary to keep you and yours safe and healthy.
