UA baseball was quick to point out that the 2021 class is the school's second-highest rated group of recruits since 2001, behind the 2012 class that was ranked No. 4.
Alabama coach Brad Bohannon has also now signed a top-15 class in three of the last four seasons, including the No. 15 classes in both 2018 and 2019.
The 2021 class consists of 19 new ballplayers, including 12 high school signees and seven junior college transfers. This includes Tuscaloosa natives Nathan Shelton (LHP/OF) and Hunter Sute (C) — both products of American Christian Academy.
Among the JUCO transfers for the Tide will be junior Garrett McMillan, a right-handed pitcher and infielder from Shelton State Community College. The former Hillcrest High Patriot was instrumental in the Bucs 2021 state championship run and appearance in the NJCAA World Series.
