Dogsledding Guide/Handler

We are starting to look for a couple of more guides and handler for the upcoming winter tour season. Must love dogs and be willing to put their needs as you top priority. You must enjoy working outdoors and some guiding experience is helpful, but not necessary. Parts of this job can be physically demanding at times, between handling dogs and carrying around full 5-gal pails in the snow. Must be reliable, have your own transportation, and live in or near Leadville. Training likely to start around Nov 1st. Like all outdoor tour industries, guides are a tipped position. Must be willing to commit to the entire season through at least the end of March at minimum, most likely through mid-April. This is a very busy seasonal operation, so if you're looking to ski/ride 100 days this season, this isn't going to be a good fit for you. You also need reliable transportation as we are about 4 miles outside of town on Hwy 24.
