Full Time Courier Driver (Salem) Full time position – Daily route and same day/scheduled deliveries Monday-Friday job, OFF all weekends and ALL Major Holidays WITH PAY • 1 week paid vacation (40 hours) available after 90 day probation, unused rolls over into next year and caps at 80 hours • 3 paid sick days (24 hours) per year/no roll over • All major holidays off (paid) • Paid hourly (no sales required) • PAID Training (no experience necessary) We are on demand immediate pickup courier company that covers a large 100 mile radius. Salem, Portland, Eugene, Vancouver, Newport etc. We are looking for a long term employee to join our small family owned business. We work as a team and hope for you to join our team. Job Description: - Daily Route Business to Business and scheduled or same day added deliveries - Dispatcher and courier app will set daily schedule - Delivering medical supplies, oxygen cylinders and (misc. cylinders), welders, big and small boxes, job requires the strength to do this with and without hand cart. Load and unload vehicle. - Company fleet-maintained car provided (Dodge Caliber or Ford Transit Connect). - Must also be able to park vehicle at your residence safely and securely. - Live in Salem / Keizer area (due to company car and business location). - Must have previous job references. - Must have no tickets or accidents last 3 years. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES An individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Job Functions: - Lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis. - Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries. - Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles. - Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location including going up and down stairs with product as necessary. - Accurately record delivery information including using a courier software application and all company required documentation. - Communicate delivery- customer issues to proper authority. - Deliver product to each of the designated stops following the stop sequence provided for the day. - Unload product safely and stage product in the space(s) designated by customer. - Check invoice for complete delivery. - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash and replenishing fuel. - Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred - Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of Oregon with proper endorsements if required. No convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver's license suspensions in the past three years. - No at fault accidents in the last 3 years. - Hand cart delivery experience preferred. - Must pass employment testing (including items such as Drug Screen & Background Check) - Have knowledge of area and/or map reading abilities. - Use safe lifting and loading techniques - Great interpersonal/customer service skills. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies: - Building Customer Loyalty - Managing Work & Time Well - Adaptability - Follow-up - Communication - Demonstrate Defensive Driving techniques Physical Requirements: This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of material on a consistent basis, 100 lbs. on an occasional basis and repetitive motions. The work is performed primarily outdoors. Must be able to pass DOT physical. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. JOB REQUIRES WORKER TO: 1.
