Description
We are three 23 year olds and a 26 year old looking for a drummer for our band so we can start gigging. We have a few potential events from connections, but we want a drummer so that we can start playing more electric music.
We love American roots music, bluegrass, folk, anything that sounds good. We love the jam scene and are looking for a drummer to be an equal part of the music we play.
Mostly at this point, we will probably do covers of older songs like the Grateful Dead, Allman bros, some blues, jazz, country, some folk songs (little Sadie, jack a roe, friend of the devil), but we are in the process of writing music and will venture more towards originals once we have a few setlists worth of material. We are also open to suggestions and new music, we just really hate the early 2000s music like Blink 182 and stuff like that. We want to impress people with the actual music we play, not just familiar bar songs.
Another thing to note is that we will never ask you to play anything note for note, we want to be genuine musicians and adapt the songs we cover to have our own personal touches, and we want our drummer to be a part of that.
Right now we have two guitar players(1 is lead other is backup vocal), a bass player(vocal), and we are teaching our other roommate to play some basic keys. Our house in Arlington has a basement that we put a drum kit down there, we can be as loud as we need to there so we always have a practice location.
Serious inquiries only, we want to make this our lives. Or if you just want to come Jam we are down for that too.
