Our leaders have assured us That work is underway to bridge the gap in the supply chain. For whatever reason the ability and the desire For such positions don’t exist.Maybe not a life or deathFaction of the work force in a post Poptalictic scenario but definitely the mortar between the bricks or as we’ve learned to refer to them as essential workers… Whatever you wanna call it whoever you want to refer to them as they are in short supply and of that supply (at least in our experience)none want to be there. Not even a little. At any price. It’s a tough sell to our clients, who, Desperate to complete work and learn that it’s going to cost them more (because of the above mentioned are demanding more $)agree To such demands in the hopes that work will be completed,only to arrive with a workforce That doesn’t wanna be there. That shouldn’t be there. (no matter how much they’re being paid )We’ve even thought that wouldn’t it be funny to bring an actual barrel with us to our negotiations with potentially new clients,but haven’t figured out the logistics of it(Not to mention is it in good taste and will we get sued over it) Do you sit on the barrel and discuss matters? Do you suspend one from ropes over the barrel? do you place a barrel under the ladder And scale to discuss. could a large bucket (Mop or othetwise)be a viable substitute?Will it be too confusing and lose its point if you Substitute a (more plentiful )plastic drum?(Should the barrel industry be battling the same supply and demand that were facing) And here’s some thing to Ponder …what does the barrel industry doWhen they are faced with the same thing we Are with their clients?!
