Let's make pop music

Description
I'm trying to be a songwriter and producer. I love pop music (all kinds from Celine Dion to Latin Fusion) and I'm seeking seeking someone who: 1. Is Los Angeles based 2. Loves singing pop music 3. Is willing to collaborate 4. Has their own ideas and opinions about what their songs should feel and sound like. Bonus though this is certainly not necessary: 1. You'd like to or do write your own lyrics, play instruments or want to record your own vocals. I can help teach to a degree though the goal of my workflow is about efficiently going from thought to finish on a song. It'd be a side thing or minor emphasis. How it'd work: There's no set schedule, nothing to sign, anything for you to purchase or even meet-ups needed except when it's time for vocals. We can start fast or slow. Overall process: 1. Understand your voice (musically/expressively) 2. Understand what you want to say/share 3. Write songs using the workflow 4. Weekly review the song ideas of the week together and identify anything to further, improve upon or revise 5. Once critical mass forms define a theme for a album/EP based on your world or a concept 6. Focus on songs that should be furthered as a unit in that album/EP structure 7. Make the songs great. Some will fall and some will rise. My workflow is fast within an hour we could: 1. Find melody 2. Create demo 3. Write draft lyrics ideas Then in the next day or two: 4. Record some vocals 5. Tighten music around draft lyrics/vocals About me: I haven't done this before either professionally or personally with someone, but I can do it and I think better than almost anyone over time. I have a really broad view on pop as art and what constitutes a good song. I'm very open-minded to criticism and fearless enough to write a song about anything. My goal is to help you share your voice with the world though certainly I plan to have my mark on the songs. I don't seek fame, fortune or any of that writing or producing songs. I'm only interested in creating great music and that will come through the process. Be fearless to sing like I'm fearless to create music and write lyrics. I'm 10 times better than 6 months ago, 100 times than a year ago, etc. I practice and write every day. I want to be the best ever. I wouldn't post this if I didn't believe I'm now ready to make radio quality music which if you know me that means I was a while ago. I like stacking the deck and bringing my A game to anything I love and to me it's all about music. If you are at least interested in knowing more: 1. Send me a link to you singing. It can be recorded in your car on a lunch break to the radio or it can be something you did when you were in your 20s a decade ago and you just didn't get a chance to really follow through on your dream. It can be you playing a guitar and singing a cover. It can be a karaoke session from a theme park last summer. Don't be afraid I can hear past music and lyrics. 2. Regardless I will respond to anyone that submits and in the least you will get some honest feedback. Honest feedback is so meaningful in life although it's only my feedback so take it for what it is worth to you. Don't be perfect be you at ease we can do the perfect through practice and more practice. What wouldn't work: 1. I don't care what you look like or anything as long as you don't try to be anything but yourself, but if your idea of being a singer is dressing and acting the part for your social media this won't work. Pop isn't a lifestyle outside of the creative process for me. Songs are very personal and if you're not honest about who you are and what this is I can't help you change I can only sit by and hope you realize that. 2. Anyone else telling us what/how to collaborate. Dads, managers, cousins, boyfriends, husbands, industry people and families. Let them start their own process. I like feedback, but in the end it's a complete team effort of you and I. Two votes and if we disagree we can agree to disagree and move on. Whether anyone else ever likes or gets what we create is an afterthought because we compartmentalized the creative process so it's as close to you and me as possible. This is our art. 3. "I want to be just like XYZ". Be you. I don't care if you're a late night DoorDash driver or Celine Dion just sing from your heart. I don't care if you used to tour and be famous. I'm sure I can help. 4. Drugs - Cali Sober is fine, but if you can't keep from doing real drugs then at best you're a cautionary tale to the world about failed potential. 5. Be kind. I'm a real nice guy don't waste my time if you're not serious. I can for sure make you a better singer and writer, but being a guy writing pop songs should tell you all you need to know about how sensitive I can be. 6. Let's make music that anyone can listen to hence pop music. I doubt words like god#@#n and f#@# etc. are included though I am not one to limit expression and Maroon 5 did sneak those into "Makes me wonder". Bottom line let's inspire with music and keep the edges smooth. 7. I can't do anything about getting you heard and seen... that's not what this is about. This is about us getting better at expressing ourselves through our music. You're going to have to rely on your voice with me and find a way to get the music heard another way. I have the software and hardware I need. I don't have a list of things I wish I had. I'm ready. One song can change the world. It's that simple.
