Paper company relocating to North Fort Worth close to Haslet. We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our team of 30+ production employees. This is a full time position for at least 40-50 hours/week. Location is North Fort Worth by I-35W and Golden Triangle. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS : • No minimum experience required. Experience is overrated. • Have a positive, winning attitude ! • High level of energy and enthusiasm is an absolute must. • Must be “service-oriented” and treat operators as customers. • Basic mechanical skills (use of hand tools) required. Welding, machining is a plus. • Basic electrical skills (use of meters, reading electrical schematics) a plus. • Available for overtime on week days and weekends to perform special repairs/projects • Good communication skills & ability to work with different groups of people. • Ability to work under pressure and manage stressful situations. • Able to work with mimimum supervision. Self-starter who is highly motivated • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division • Valid driver’s licence • Must have good color vision and be able to read, write and speak English • Must be able to lift 60+ lbs occasionally • Must be comfortable with being frequently exposed to extreme temperatures inside a warehouse-type facility Texas. Frequently exposed to conditions typically found in a manufacturing plant like noise, paper dust, heat, moving parts, forklift traffic, and chemicals We are looking for a candidate with a mind set of "whatever the need, whatever the challenge… the answer is "we can do it !!". TASKS INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) : • Perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks on production equipment • Troubleshooting production issues to keep downtime to a minimum • Participate in morning meeting with manager, production supervisor and shipping personnel • Basic electrical tasks such as replacing fuses, contactors, overloads, motors up to 480V • Other various tasks like plumbing, painting, cleaning, building things (brackets, shelves, hangers, racks, etc.) • Keep work area clean and organized • Maintains building and grounds, performing painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities • Assist operators with whatever is needed to ensure maximum efficiency, quality and safety. “Not my job” should not be part of your vocabulary • Equipment includes : compressors, vacuum pumps, conveyors, rewinders, folders, wrappers, core winders, casepackers, fork lifts, etc. • This is physical, “hands-on” work with a lot of kneeling, crouching, and crawling To apply ---> Reply to this ad with a short description of yourself and attach your resume.
