Pawesome cat needs home

Description

I am looking for a home for this little sweetheart. Do you know anyone who might be interested? When he showed up on our doorstep with a weeping head wound this summer, we got him to the vet immediately. After being treated for an infected abscess (as well as fleas, worms, ear mites, ear infections and getting his vaccines), we brought him home to recover on our indoor porch. Not only did he make a complete recovery, but he turned out to be the most friendly and affectionate cat! We started calling him Mish Mish, which is Arabic for "apricot." Unfortunately, Mish Mish tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). While FIV is not contagious to humans or dogs, it can be spread to other cats through deep bite wounds. For this reason, we just couldn't risk introducing Mish Mish to our other inside cats in case they don't get along. FIV+ cats still live long and happy lives, but it is important that their companions take them to the vet immediately at the first sign of illness, since Mish Mish's immune system might not always be strong enough to fight off normal bugs and infections that other cats can. Now that Mish Mish has recovered from being neutered and microchipped, he is ready for his forever home. If you know an individual or family who might make the perfect companion for Mish Mish, please let me know!
